Amr Ismaeil is a researcher on detention places and torture prevention for the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights. Amr holds a professional master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratic Governance from the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights in Venice, Italy Prior to joining the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, Amr worked for the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Academy for International Development-Middle East (AIDME), and the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies. Amr also has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Alexandria University and a diploma in human rights and civil society from Cairo University.
