Foreign support for a swift but stable transition of power in Egypt appeared to grow, with statements from leaders in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States making the news. In particular, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has expressed American support for newly appointed Vice President Omar Suleiman’s role in spearheading a transition process.
