Second Day of Parliamentary Elections

The polls opened again today for the People’s Assembly elections. Votes cast today and yesterday are part of the election’s first stage, which comprises voting in nine of Egypt’s 27 provinces (including both Cairo and Alexandria). While official results are not expected until January, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party claimed that it has received the most votes so far.
