Ayah Abdel Rahman is a Legal Unit Intern at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy. She is a third year J.D. Candidate at the SMU Dedman School of Law, and holds a B.S. in International Political Economy and Global Business from the University of Texas at Dallas. Ayah has previously interned with both the International Refugee Assistance Project, where she advocated for and assisted refugees and displaced persons, and the Muslim Legal Fund of America, where she worked on cases involving national security, sanctions, and constitutional rights issues. She has studied international law and accountability abroad in The Hague, Netherlands, and is an active political and community grassroots organizer.
