Brigid O’Connor
Advocacy Intern

Brigid O’Connor is an Advocacy Intern at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy. She is a senior at Georgetown University where she is pursuing a double major in Justice and Peace Studies and Studio Art, with a minor in Arabic Language. Brigid’s academic and professional background spans policy research and nonprofit advocacy at organizations in Washington D.C. and abroad. In D.C., Brigid has worked with the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, the U.S.-Saudi Business Council, and Churches for Middle East Peace. She spent her junior year fall semester (September-December, 2024) studying abroad in Amman, where she pursued intensive language classes and gained research experience at Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development, a Jordanian legal-aid nonprofit, and volunteer experience at Sawiyan, a Sudanese refugee services organization. She is passionate about the role of education in peacebuilding and bridging cross cultural divides. She will continue her commitment to studying and promoting human rights, peace, and security in the MENA region through the next step in her academic journey at Georgetown Law School, where she will study International Law.
