Gabriela Saba is a former Advocacy Intern at TIMEP. She is currently an MA candidate at Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies and holds a BA in Political Science and Arabic, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Arizona. Gabriela brings experience in foreign policy and advocacy research with DC-based nonprofits and international NGOs, as well as student and grassroots organizing. Her thesis examines the Lebanese Civil War through ethnographic fieldwork with Greek Orthodox Christian communities, exploring how memory, sectarian identity, and post-war narratives continue to shape political belonging in contemporary Lebanon. Her broader research interests include trauma and memory studies, ethnic and religious minorities in the Levant, and gender studies, with a particular passion for elevating marginalized voices through oral history and documentary filmmaking.
