Giorgia Piantanida is a Digital Communications Intern at TIMEP. With a Bachelor's from Swarthmore College in Peace and Conflicts Studies and Environmental Studies, she has long been interested in the intersections between social justice, conflict, and climate change. To further this interest, she has been working on her MA in International Security Studies at the Università di Trento in Italy, with a final thesis that analyzes the legal protections climate refugees from the MENA region have under the European Union protections regime. She is most passionate about creating accessible communications material that centers the voices and stories of marginalized peoples.
