As governments around the world consider and adopt targeted sanctions programs that target human rights abusers and corrupt persons, Human Rights First and the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP) are releasing a joint Q&A fact sheet that explains the Global Magnitsky sanctions program of the United States, its relevance and applicability to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and the ways in which civil society organizations in the region and globally can engage with the program.
