Nada Ahmed is a researcher and lawyer working in the field of human rights after obtaining her Master II from Paris X University, during which she did an internship with Human Rights Watch. Nada worked had previously worked as a lawyer in the office of Egyptian human rights defender Negad El Borai on research various public opinion matters. She is the author of The Prisoner’s Handbook, a guide to prison laws in Egypt and was previously a nonresident fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy. Nada is currently a PhD candidate at the Transitional Justice Institute in Ulster University, Northern Ireland where she investigates narratives of perpetration in transitional justice mechanisms, focusing on Egypt, Tunisia, and Libya.
