In this episode, our featured scholars explore Egypt’s media landscape before, during, and after the 2011 uprisings. In the first part, they assess the importance of press freedom in Egypt’s impending presidential elections. In the second, they describe new technologies and uses of media in post-2011 Egypt and offer some brief thoughts on the future.
