Military to Clear Tahrir Square; Labor Strikes Continue

The Egyptian military attempted to clear Tahrir Square completely, removing the remaining few barricades and encouraging protesters to evacuate the area and return to work.

Despite the call to re-establish normalcy, labor strikes continued across Egypt. These strikes, led by police, ambulance drivers, transport workers and bank employees, contributed to the overall power of the protests, with workers demanding higher wages and better working conditions.
