The Shura Council approved and President Morsi signed a law which calls for elections for a new People’s Assembly. The law was modified previously by the Supreme Constitutional Court.
While the law has come during a time of ongoing political unrest, the parliamentary elections will be held April 27-28, May 15-16, June 2-3 and June 19-20.
