Today saw the last day of voting as run-off elections for the Shura Council took place in Giza, Qalyubia, Sharqia, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Ismailia, Port Said, Suez, Matruh, Beni Suef, Minya, Sohag, Luxor and Aswan. The Freedom and Justice Party-led Democratic Alliance won a total of 107 seats and the Nour Party-led Islamist Alliance won 46 seats. The Wafd Party was the third largest vote-getter, netting 14 seats.
