An amendment to the Shura Council law approved today by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces lowers the minimum age for candidates from 30 to 25 years. According to the amended law, 90 of the Shura Council’s 270 seats will be filled by presidential appointment; 60 seats, by single-seat candidacy; and 120 seats, by party lists.
