Anti-SCAF Protests Continue as Casualty Figures Rise

Clashes between police forces and protesters continued for a third day on Mohamed Mahmoud Street. The Ministry of Health reportedly raised its official casualty figures to 35 dead and more than 1,750 wounded. The ongoing protests, fuelled by anger against the governing Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), have been held many cities, including Cairo, Alexandria, Suez, Port Said, Ismailia, Asyut, Qena, and Aswan.

Police continued to shoot tear gas at protesters, some of whom were throwing rocks.

The Egyptian Cabinet offered its resignation to the SCAF in response to the nationwide protests.
