Fifteen-year-old Muslim Brotherhood Member Killed in Damanhur Clashes


The military constructed a wall on Qasr Al-Eini Street near Tahrir Square as clashes continued today, drawing hundreds of protesters and tear gas from police.

At least 40 people were injured and a 15-year old (Islam Fathi Masoud) was killed in Damanhur when opponents of President Morsi stormed an office of the Muslim Brotherhood. President Morsi issued a statement calling the controversial presidential decree which re-ignited protests only temporary.

Security forces have stated that 260 protesters have been injured since the presidential decree was issued. Moreover, the Interior Ministry has stated that 164 police officers have been injured and 167 protesters have been arrested during that time. In al-Qaseema a military installation exploded, similar to the explosion of a structure yesterday in Rafah.
