Today, the lead prosecutor of the Aswan province authorized the release on 500 pounds bail of the eight people accused of burning the Marinab church. Their release comes amid continued sit-ins by those demanding the reconstruction of the church. The demonstrators occupied the road in front of the provincial courthouse, blocking off entry to the facility.
