The Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) ratified a proposed law lowering the age to sit in the People’s Assembly. The new minimum age to sit in the Assembly was lowered from thirty to twenty-five years of age, mirroring a change made on July 23 for the Shura Council, Egypt’s upper house.
