Strikes Continue in Industrial Mahalla

Traffic-stopping strikes continued today in Mahalla against President Morsi and the poor economic conditions in the city. Students joined the protests en masse, as they marched through the city and called for an end to the rule of the “Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Public transportation was almost at a standstill in the city today, and the city’s entrances and exits were blocked off.

This is the second major protest in Mahalla this year, as last month, hundreds of works went on strike, obstructing routes into the city in acts of civil disobedience.
