Layne Emery

Layne will be graduating from George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs with an M.A. in Middle East studies focused on U.S. foreign policy. She has conducted extensive field research on constitutional law, civil society, and the political economies of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt. Prior to attending George Washington University, Layne worked as a civil rights and criminal litigation paralegal at the Constitutional Law Center for Muslims in America (CLCMA). She contributed to legal cases that set constitutional precedent and protected the civil rights of Americans at risk.
