Rima Sghaier is a Nonresident Fellow at TIMEP focusing on power and technology in the Middle East and North Africa region. She is an intersectional feminist activist, researcher, policy analyst, FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) enthusiast, and an avid advocate for internet freedom. She is currently Senior Program Manager at Team CommUNITY @ ARTICLE 19. She is a member of the Advisory Committee of the digital rights unconference, Bread&Net. Prior to joining Team CommUNITY, she worked with GlobaLeaks program, managing and contributing to international projects to support NGOs, independent media, and investigative journalists to create secure whistleblowing platforms, and continues to support the project in an advisory capacity. Rima holds a Bachelor and a Master of Research degrees in Public Law and Political Science from the Faculty of Juridical, Political, and Social Sciences of Tunis.
