Ammar Azzouz is a Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Oxford. He holds a PhD in architecture from the University of Bath, in the United Kingdom. He is the author of Domicide: Architecture, War and the Destruction of Home in Syria (Bloomsbury, 2023). He has written for a wide range of platforms including the New York Times, the Guardian, and the New Statesman.
