Director of the Civil Liberties Unit at the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights. His research covers a broad spectrum of issues including the politics of religion in the public sphere and the complexities of judicial reform. Amr is also an adjunct lecturer in Law at the American University in Cairo.
