Colleen Costello

Colleen Costello is the Advocacy Director at TIMEP. Ms. Costello brings ten years of human rights, advocacy, and policy experience to this role. Prior to joining TIMEP, she worked for the bipartisan Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Commission Co-Chairman Jim McGovern. She also worked for Congressman Mike Honda, a former Japanese-American internment camp prisoner and member of the House Appropriations Committee. As a human rights advocate, Ms. Costello has worked to shape U.S. policies on democracy and human rights in the Middle East, and has also sought to improve U.S. detainee treatment policies following 9/11. She holds a law degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Washington College.
