Mostafa Fouad

Mostafa Fouad is an Egyptian human rights lawyer and a legal researcher at Columbia University-NYC within the project Global Freedom of Expression. His published research includes work on the Egyptian Protest Law, Media Law, the interference of executive authorities in legislation, and the execution law, in addition to several studies on hate speech and racism. He is also the co-author of the Advocacy from Exile guide. Mostafa has held multiple positions in civil society with 10 years of experience in the MENA region. He is currently the Senior Programs Director of HuMENA for Human Rights and Civic Engagement. He is also a founding member of “Innovation For Change Network, MENA-Hub” and a board member of “MENA Network for Countering Hate Speech.”
